Introduction. During the time, especially in the last fifty years, leadership has increasingly become a major subject in the management literature, a subject of much thought, writing and teaching. While the importance of leadership is generally accepted all over the world, there are as many definitions of it as there are organizations. In spite of the fact that the business literature on leadership is so voluminous, there is not an agreed-upon definition of the concept of leadership. Leadership is not only intensely studied, but also practiced in different organizations. How to lead effectively an organization depends on many factors such as the organizational culture, the behavior of the followers, and the personal traits of the leader. The vast majority of successful leaders are multi-dimensional individuals.
Aim of the study. The aims of our paper are to present a short biography of Steve Jobs and to highlight his contribution to modern leadership. Our research is based on a literature review. The S. Jobs example illustrates how a transformational leader as him can be a key factor in successfully turning round the fortunes of a company as Apple. The paper facilitates a better understanding of modern leadership, emphasizing the case of S. Jobs, and provides a platform on which to build further studies on the same subject.

Introduction. Organizing the manufacturing processes constituted probably the most difficult challenge in the American automotive industry in the 1920s. A. P. Sloan Jr. was one of the greatest captains of industry and shaped General Motors Corporation into the largest automotive manufacturer of the world. His creative approach on how to mix a degree of decentralized responsibility with centralized control remains a useful example for every corporate leader.
Aim of the study. The aim of our paper is to emphasize the contribution of Sloan Jr. to the development of leadership. The methodological approach is literature review.

Introduction. In the age of uncertainty change represents one of the most important challenges for all types of organizations. Changeability constitutes today a key competitiveness factor for any company.

Introduction. The making of footwear, one of the most ancient crafts, has a long history. The manufacturing of shoes represented a handicraft activity until the mid-nineteen century. In the late 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s, the footwear industry adopted the factory system and became increasingly mechanized. One of the most important footwear companies has been the Bata Company. Its economic success was based on the well-known Bata Management System that constituted the subject of a wide range of discussions and debates in the business literature.
Aim of the study. The aim of our paper is to render in brief the BMS. The methodological approach is literature review. Our paper has shown that BMS represents an effective and efficient management system that includes solid business principles.

Introduction. EU’ s 2020 strategy is to integrate creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in the school curriculum by proposing a set of actions implying all students in entrepreneurial activity with a view to devoping theirs skills needed in business market. Governments should revise the legislation in force by eliminating existing administrative barriers and supporting entrepreneurs in crucial stages of the life cycle of a business; The links between schools, universities and business area should be strengthened in oreder to achieve aims proposed by EU’ s 2020 strategy.
Aim of the study. This paper aims to highlight that entrepreneurial education has an important role in the educational system, having a strong applicative character, as it does emphasize the size of the student’s personality formation act. The purpose of the entrepreneurial education is to promote students’ innovation spirit.

Introduction. The basis of the success of the private environment and of the organizations that make up it is the organizational behavior. This is the main responsible for the failure or the success of a company or organization. In organizational behavior, the assumed values, the resources involved, the staff, the leadership, but also the external elements, but with which a direct or indirect connection is created, are still involved. The sustainability of a company or organization is given by some elements that differentiate it from the competition, the image of the waters it created on the market, but also from a reputable assumption of what it has done or is about to do in the private environment.
Aim of the study. We will not be able to talk about companies having a successful organization without knowing the results and how it has achieved. Even if the strategies and actions are left in the shadow and known only internally, ensuring only that transparency of things that will be known does not mean that those strategies and actions did not exist. Within a successful company, at their core will be some defining components and elements applied consciously, responsibly, assumed and based on sound knowledge. A proposal to achieve sustainability over time within the organization will be described throughout the paper.
