Introduction. This paper explores the influence of digital competencies and entrepreneurial competencies on entrepreneurial intention in the context of digital and environmental uncertainty among young adults from an emerging economy. The study investigates how technological adaptability, continuous learning, and entrepreneurial skills contribute to professional development and entrepreneurial orientation in a constantly changing economic environment. In the contemporary digital economy, technological transformation, artificial intelligence, and labour market instability increasingly influence individuals’ professional perspectives and career development. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study combines quantitative analysis conducted in SPSS with qualitative analysis performed in NVivo in order to identify the main relationships, themes, and perceptions associated with professional and entrepreneurial success. The findings highlight positive relationships between digital competencies, entrepreneurial competencies, adaptability, and entrepreneurial intention.
Aim of the study. The results also emphasize the importance of continuous learning, technological skills, flexibility, initiative, and opportunity recognition in responding to the challenges generated by digital transformation and environmental uncertainty. The study contributes to the understanding of entrepreneurial intention in emerging economies and underlines the importance of developing digital and entrepreneurial competencies in contemporary education and professional development programmes.
