Introduction. During the time, especially in the last fifty years, leadership has increasingly become a major subject in the management literature, a subject of much thought, writing and teaching. While the importance of leadership is generally accepted all over the world, there are as many definitions of it as there are organizations. In spite of the fact that the business literature on leadership is so voluminous, there is not an agreed-upon definition of the concept of leadership. Leadership is not only intensely studied, but also practiced in different organizations. How to lead effectively an organization depends on many factors such as the organizational culture, the behavior of the followers, and the personal traits of the leader. The vast majority of successful leaders are multi-dimensional individuals.

Introduction. People in general, leaders especially, are influenced by the organisational culture and the other way around. Organisational culture represents a determining factor regarding the display of leadership, since these two processes create each other, adding value and consistency to one another. Moreover, organisational culture can be created and developed in a fluctuant business environment, in which the external factors influence its progress. The development of society has incessantly been emphasized by the relationship between the sexes, by their individual evolution, but also by the interdependency between them.
Aim of the study. Considering the fact that, in the current turbulent economic environment, certain qualities such as flexibility, intuition, development of communication networks and motivating the employees represent values that are considered to be “feminine”, one can assert that, in this case, gender is an opportunity. However, if we should take into consideration the impact of culture, of certain mentalities and misconceptions that are still present, regarding the woman’s standing in society, economy and politics, we can state that gender is a discriminating factor, because there is still the tendency to consider men as being better leaders.

Introduction. Romania lacks a ”map of the future”. This chart of the future depends just on the human factor. More specifically, on the continuous investment in the human factor. During the last 2 decades of freedom of attitude, very few positive and sustained steps have been taken through solid arguments, with clear reference points and stages that have to be followed. It is absolutely compulsory to rebuild with new tools, as a surprise for the opponents and as an optimal solution for the supporters. This would be a new, superior creation, with an invincible astonishing result. This new tool means an effort of retraining, with a view to getting better, professional skills.

Introduction. Current leadership is different from the one belonging to the last century’s society, and in the future, it will certainly be different from today. The difference is not one that relates to the philosophy and physiognomy of shape, but one that is structured on the philosophy of science dynamism and the complexity of social, economic, financial, informational and cognitive dynamics.
Aim of the study. This paper aims to highlight that in an open society, in which general management and even educational management move significantly towards complexity, leadership too will embody forms and formulas that take o leader out of traditional form of leader-hero, virile and good at everything, loved and followed, in favor of a teammate leader, a node network leader, one who will play a creative, innovative and distributive role, a cognitive and universal leader. This change of philosophy and physiognomy towards the creation of creation and innovation, towards knowing, encouraging and protecting those that step outside their limits, is what I consider as one of the fundamental characteristics of the leadership of the century that we just stepped into.

Introduction. In the speciality literature, a number of studies have been written and are still written today, which show the necessity of redefining the notion of manager regarding the elements that define the leader within the organization. Over time, a series of analyzes have been put in place to determine whether a person has a leadership role following a development process or whether leadership skills are skills with which a person is born with. The concept of an efficient manager should not be confused with the concept of leader because in the case of the first concept, the attribute used to achieve the results remains the authority with which the manager is established, an attribute that the leader does not have. Leaders builds morale and improves satisfaction, by building and developing in employee’s confidence and by creating a warm and positive environment.
