Introduction. Risk is one of the biggest and most fascinating challenges of all times for humanity, because of its presence in all fields. Risk management as a component of modern management, has become a main concern for the modern world and one of the “key mechanisms” of economic development, a complex process that includes a series of activities meant to alleviate the impact of risk over business and planed or foreseen results.

Aim of the study. This paper wants to bring to attention the importance of risks and their management in today’s economic crisis. The sector presented is the IT& C, especially software, because Romania had a growth in this area for a few years but beginning the crisis this segment in economy had known a serious decrease. This paper tries to connect risk management and risk psychology to Romanian economy, culture and mentality. The paper presents in short some of risk management characteristics, definitions and few opinions; why in Romania this subject is not treated with the appropriate attention. The paper at hand focuses on the psychology of risk and how it affects the life of individuals and the existence of companies, the importance it should have on day to day basis, especially in Romania.

Introduction. Quality in healthcare means doing what is right for the right people exactely at the right time and doing it always in a friendly and highly professional mannar. Whenever unfavorable experience has been detected –meaning a gap between expected and actual performance – a set of key questions must be answered: where, when, and why problems occurred. Once the questions answered, changes must be made. Improvement projects should be systematic and not intuitive, including a methodical performance improvement process.

Aim of the study. In the following lines we present an efficient healthcare improvement performance model, namely ”FOCUS-PDCA”. Another tool for improving health performance is the „Medical-specific checklist”. It has an important contribution to improving health performance through standardizing the list of steps to be followed, as well as establishing the legitimate expectation that each of these steps will be followed accordingly for all patients.

Introduction. In the multitude of methods and procedures for initiating and implementing new businesses over the past decade, the Lean Start Up methodology also follows the research conducted by IT entrepreneur Eric Ries from 2008. The Romanian economic context after the effects of the international financial crisis revealed an increasing trend, albeit variable, in terms of economic growth and the development of new business and entrepreneurial initiatives. This article aims to highlight the possible impact of the Lean Start Up methodology on entrepreneurial thinking and practice in Romania, both at the beginning of the road and in its continuous evolution.

Aim of the study. The paper first performs a research on specialized scientific literature, then focus on the presentation of the Laen Start Up methodology, on the advantages and limitations of the method in question, and on the implications of its use in Romania. The results of the research result in highlighting a number of possible guidelines and guidelines to follow regarding the application of the method to the newly established enterprises in Romania.
