Introduction. Business storytelling is a leadership tool, which, as recent studies show, has a significant influence on the employees’ performance and the competitiveness of the organizations. The American researchers in this field emphasize that a business cannot exist without a story – there’s no business without story business.
Aim of the study. The research addresses a new concept introduced into the managerial practice of the insurance industry from Romania and it aims to test the hypothesis that success, performance and competitiveness of the organizations in the insurance industry depend also on the quality of the leadership and the leaders’ ability to use storytelling, taking into account the intangibility of the insurance products. The main tool that this exploratory, qualitative research has used is the structured interview with three target groups, which we considered to be relevant: CEOs/managers of insurance companies and insurance brokerage firms, public relations specialists and economic journalists. The results of our research endeavours may be of interest for both the managers, employees and communication specialists in the insurance industry and the business world in general, for which the introduction of storytelling in the leadership practices might increase the attractiveness not only for employees, but also for stakeholders and customers.

Introduction. Today, more than ever before, modern leadership calls for a greater interest in message composing and conveying from the perspective of persuasive communication. High performance requires varied, extensively elaborated capacities used with maximum impact at the proper moment.
Aim of the study. This paper aims to highlight that now when the communication means are rather developed and varied and quite easily accessible by anybody, besides the other capacities a real leader should feature, oratory or the art of (public) speaking takes its place back and redefines its part in relation to these modern means of conveying messages precisely by recurring to the ”human” essence of the communication relation. Amid the hundreds, thousands of electronic messages, face-to-face interaction fetches that bundle of feelings and emotions the bits and hertz still fail to convey.

Introduction. As a decisive factor in the existing economic competition in a world increasingly globalized, a market accessible through digitisation and unprecedented information speed, innovation has become the key objective that makes the difference between “to be” or “not to be” for every economic actor who aims to play a leading role on the market. Innovation has become a concept so widely spread that one cannot conceive the success of a business without this factor, whether we are talking about the innovation of a product, process or service or marketing and organization structure. Innovation has also became a key concept for public insitutions that intend to keep up with developments in technology, under the pressure from a society increasingly more connected to technology. The European Union promotes the concept of innovation at the center of the development strategy for the economic sector, thus generating the vision that governs three key tools: Research framework program, the cohesion policy and the framework program for competitiveness and innovation.
Aim of the study. In the present study we start from the definition of the concept of innovation. We approach the notion of innovative management perspective in the context of accessing European funding programs. Ultimately, the purpose of innovation management is the efficiency of innovative economic activity, i.e. in increasing productivity in balance with the principles of sustainable development. European funding programs stimulate the innovation management in entrepreneurship, public institutions andNGOs, whether we are talking about innovation in the economic field, at the level of social services or in the field of public services.

Introduction. As part of the population chooses to look for better earnings, may it be in their country or abroad, there is a phenomenon of massive departures to areas where earnings are higher, while there is an increased lack of labour factorin the home states. In the period between the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008, when the economic and financial crisis wastriggered, until the present day, people have been trying to find solutions to keep up with the labour shortages that have occurred mainly in Eastern European countries, but not only. Against the background of the crisis and economies with declining performances, birth rates did not increase enough to fill the deficits which are caused, among other causes, by the families’ lack of prospect in their home countries and taking into account the opportunities to leave and settle in states with stronger economies. There have been many cases when parents have left their children in the care of others who have not left the country (grandparents, other family members or others); these children were deprived of the affection needed for a harmonious development, therefore patriotism was weakened, as the parents’ example was more powerful than any patriotic exhortation. Considering these circumstances, we must face the fact that these departures from the economy will become significant elements to be taken into account in the future. One should also consider that the newcomers, the migrants, could supply for the employment shortage at equal or lower costs, which may contribute to the efficiency of economic activity.
Aim of the study. This paper highlights the fact that in the context of the tumultuous events we are experiencing, individual shave to face realities where they are confronted with various choices, among which we mention either a higher income, where tasks are extremely difficult and spare time becomes less, or a lower income withmore leisure time. In any case, between the two maximal points, a company operating within an economy must acquire the production factors that will be used to obtain the necessary goods and services.
