Introduction. A study is being conducted using the data provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development through the Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey (BEEPS) database for Romania in the year 2012. At industry level, companies’ innovative behavior is unclear, but after grouping them into low-tech and high-tech industries, results have become more robust, respectively, in high-tech industries, there is an average of more product or process innovations. An interesting observation is that the percentage of adopting organizational innovations remains constant for both low-tech and high-tech industries. An interpretation related to the long term competitive innovative behavior is that by product and process innovation, the firm has a strategic vision and will have a constant process of structural organization.
Aim of the study. The aim of this article is to study the relationship between the type of industry and the rate of adoption of product innovation, process innovation and organizational innovation. In the traditional approach, being innovative is only effective in the short run because competition will begin to imitate that innovation. In an alternative approach, there is a distinction between innovative and non-innovative firms. We tried to capture this process by making two groups of industries: low-tech industries and high-tech industries. If they seek to be competitive in the long run, innovative firms are strategically proposing to adopt new technologies and to innovate in product, process or internally in the organization.

Sustainable tourism as an essential factor of economic growth and local development in the sustainable economy
Introduction. The sustainable management in the field of the tourism is important because this sector is one of the main sectors which contributes to the economic growth.

The concept of innovation with some insights from resource-based view and evolutionary theory
Introduction. The current economic environment is increasingly turbulent and companies are developing skills through human resources, technologies and Research & Development to cope with declining product cycles and faster technological changes. In evolutionary theory, innovations are heterogeneous and firms learn dynamically from interacting with other firms and technologies, from which incremental or radical innovations can emerge. After a new technology appears, the embedded part of the technology will be disseminated within the industry through some channels and the non-embedded part of the technology will accumulate some idiosyncratic knowledge within the innovative companies through the appropriation of knowledge and knowledge spillovers. There are two major trends in studies, some do not study the innovation per se but are oriented towards the transformations regarding the innovative strategies of the companies in different economic and social environments. The other trend of studies is oriented towards the innovation process itself which has evolved from a linear process of R&D-patent-innovation-market to one towards open-innovation in which the company interacts with other entities.
Aim of the study. The aim of this paper is to present some approaches to study innovative activities from the company’s perspective with a focus on resource-based view and evolutionary theory. In the resource-based approach, companies develop competitive advantages through resources and innovations that are rare and difficult to imitate.

Introduction. Companies experiment with technologies, while managing to better understand their internal configuration. The firms will be able to adapt their organisational structure and will be able to gain competitive advantages at the expense of other non-innovative companies from the market. Companies learn dynamically about new technologies and those who learn better are rewarded by the market by some rents and for those who don’t learn, the market penalizes them by rising costs or even bankruptcy. From this innovation behavior, some companies are able to adapt, improve their products, have better technologies than their competitors and introduce new knowledge management systems. The research methodology is based on a quantitative method.
Aim of the study. The aim of this article is to study the innovation process as being generated by the evolutionary process and knowledge management within the company. Innovation and knowledge systems are an important source of competitiveness. Innovative companies gather more data, process them better and identify better the technological opportunities that they discover within a shorter time, being thus confronted with a lower level of uncertainty. At the same time, they will be able to accumulate a greater stock of knowledge about the respective technologies.

Current Characteristics and Future Trends in the Field of the Green Transport from the Perspective of the Sustainable Management in the Sustainable Development
Introduction. The sustainable management in the field of the transport is particularly important because this sector is one of the main producers of the greenhouse gases, together with the sector of buildings and the industry. The purpose of this research is to illustrate the evolution and the positive and negative impact that sustainable transports have on the national economies in Romania, in the European Union and worldwide. Given the importance they have in different regions of the world the purpose of the research is determined by the fact that national policies, both at European Union level and at global level, must include aspects related to the green economy, both by encouraging private economic entities, as well as by a stronger state involvement, by a more efficient management.
Aim of the study. The quantitative and especially the qualitative methods aim to highlight the importance of sustainable transport for a green economy. The sustainable management it is very important, especially nowadays, when progress allow to change the vision and the economic behavior in order to increase the economic efficiency.
