Introduction<\/strong>.\u00a0Although tobacco products and tobacco c<\/span>related products have been described in numerous\u00a0<\/span>occasions by different worldwide\u00a0<\/span>known researchers, health specialists, political\u00a0<\/span>and public figures, as well as health associations\u00a0<\/span>as being extremely dangerous and\u00a0<\/span>harmful for individuals\u2019 heath (being reported\u00a0<\/span>that \u201csmoking causes many kinds of cancer,\u00a0<\/span>heart disease and respiratory illnesses\u00a0<\/span>which are fatal for many sufferers\u201d), due to\u00a0<\/span>the physiologically and psychologically addictive\u00a0<\/span>nature (and not only) of their key ingredients\u00a0<\/span>(among which especially nicotine,\u00a0<\/span>which according to the specialists can be associated\u00a0<\/span>more with the effects induced by\u00a0<\/span>\u201cheroin and cocaine – rather than shopping,\u00a0<\/span>chocolate or the Internet\u201d), the tobacco industry\u00a0<\/span>seems to flourish year by year, although\u00a0<\/span>\u201cit never claimed any health benefits\u201d, gaining\u00a0<\/span>more and more market share and brand\u00a0<\/span>share by attracting more and more customers.<\/span><\/p>

Aim of the study<\/strong>. This paper aims to\u00a0addresses the following key aspects: first of\u00a0<\/span>all, the article is keen on providing an answer to the following question: \u201cWhat is the place of the tobacco\u00a0<\/span>market and tobacco companies worldwide?\u201d in order to show the importance of tobacco and tobacco related\u00a0<\/span>products worldwide and to stress the importance of this continuously growing market worldwide (despite\u00a0<\/span>its controversial nature); second of all, this paper is focused on providing an answer to the following question:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cWhat is the evolution of the land devoted to growing tobacco and its importance for the tobacco\u00a0<\/span>companies worldwide?\u201d in order to show connection that exists between the following elements: the land\u00a0<\/span>devoted to growing tobacco has known a continuous growth between 2000 and 2012 (and, of course, until\u00a0<\/span>today), due to the role played by tobacco and tobacco related products in the lives of the consumers worldwide;\u00a0<\/span>the tobacco companies become more and more powerful and more and more reach with each year; the\u00a0<\/span>lands devoted to growing tobacco are especially found in less developed countries and statistics have shown\u00a0<\/span>that a significant number of children are used in the tobacco industry; third of all, this work focuses itself\u00a0<\/span>on providing an answer to the following question: \u201cWhich are the biggest tobacco companies in the world?\u201d\u00a0<\/span>in order to present the world\u2019s tobacco industry leaders, as well as the latest trends and future predictions\u00a0<\/span>concerning this strong and competitive industry; and fourth of all, this research paper intends to provide\u00a0<\/span>an answer to the following question: \u201cWhat are the latest tobacco market trends and hidden opportunities\u00a0<\/span>in Romania?\u201d in order to show the latest tobacco market trends and hidden opportunities in Romania.<\/span><\/p>
