Introduction<\/strong>.\u00a0Quality in healthcare means doing what is right for the right people exactely at the right\u00a0<\/span>time and doing it always in a friendly and highly professional mannar. Whenever unfavorable experience\u00a0<\/span>has been detected \u2013meaning a gap between expected and actual performance \u2013 a set of key questions must\u00a0<\/span>be answered: where, when, and why problems occurred. Once the questions answered, changes must be\u00a0<\/span>made. Improvement projects should be systematic and not intuitive, including a methodical performance\u00a0<\/span>improvement process.<\/span><\/p>

Aim of the study<\/strong>.\u00a0In the following lines we present an efficient healthcare improvement performance\u00a0<\/span>model, namely \u201dFOCUS-PDCA\u201d. Another tool for improving health performance is the \u201eMedical-specific\u00a0<\/span>checklist\u201d. It has an important contribution to improving health performance through standardizing the\u00a0<\/span>list of steps to be followed, as well as establishing the legitimate expectation that each of these steps will be\u00a0<\/span>followed accordingly for all patients.<\/span><\/p>
