The effects of this health crisis immediately spread to the economic and financial environment,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.604px; color: var(--c-contrast-800);\">affecting most industries.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Aim of the study<\/strong>.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 16.604px;\">This article aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.604px; color: var(--c-contrast-800);\">football clubs in the five most important championships in Europe. The methodology was based on a quantitative\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.604px; color: var(--c-contrast-800);\">research method. The results of this analysis show that the football industry has been significantly\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.604px; color: var(--c-contrast-800);\">affected, and the prices that clubs have been willing to invest in acquiring new players in 2020 have fallen\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.604px; color: var(--c-contrast-800);\">dramatically compared to previous years.
